Heyya readers! I'm Rosleen Khairi. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. ;) Well, my friends call me Leen. If i had to define myself in three words, I'd say I'm an easy-going,stubborn and unpredictable girl~Currently staying in Penang.
2. When it comes to computers, i wouldn't say that i'm an expert nor illiterate because i'm merely average. In other words "savvy"~I'm well aware of basic things about computers and their usage as expected for all the IPT students nowadays.
3. What software and hardware knowledge do I have? Hmm,lets see~As we all know, the latest window is Window 7. The old versions are Window Vista, XP and 2000. For softwares would be Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher), Photoshop, Flash, Mozilla FireFox, Internet Explorer, Photoscape, Limewire other installation softwares and also gaming softwares. Hardwares in the other hand are more technical such as motherboard, hardisc, pendrive and rams. Well to be honest I don't know that much about hardwares, only the ones which I am exposed to.
4. Yes, of course I have. Learning in the Higher Institutions is all about using the Internet as references. We can't merely depend on the traditional learning such as using books. Online learning is fastest and easy way. One could logged on to any websites to search for informations wihin a snap. That's the advantage of being a computer savvy. ;) Online learning is not focused only on reading because it involves listening as well because audio recorders are included as well.
5. Yes, I did try to incorporate technology in some of my lessons during practicum and as I had expected, it was successful. Secondary students are well aware of computers as well and when we share informations or knowledge that are new with them, they would love it! ;) For me, learning should involve music, colours and fun in or order to make it an effective learning.
6. We are living in the era of computers and technology in the development of the human race. What's the use of all these technologies that we have if we do not use it. I do support the usage of computers and technology in language teaching. This is because it makes everything easier when everything is at the tip of your hand. It is not wrong to practice the old way which is the traditional teaching using chalks and mahjong papers, but why not we incorporate some new things in the teachings. It's worth to try isn't it. Plus, we wouln't want to be called old-fashioned, right? ;)
7. My expectations would be to get an A of course and as well as getting new knowledge about computers and technologies which will help me in intergrating technologies through my coming working experience. I would not want to be left behind, and so I hope this course will help me succeed.

True, online learning includes also audio learning e.g. podcasting which you will learn how to create in this class.
